The Links at Penn Hills Golf Day - 2026 - Rines Creek, NS

The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the Penn Hills Golf Day 14 July 2026 is now open. The application deadline is 17 June 2026.

AIM AND SCOPE OF EVENT:  
We are excited to be partnering with Penn Hills and hosting an event at Penn Hills Golf Club where 16 members will enjoy an afternoon round of golf paired up in groups of four. 

Green fees, golf carts, and a canteen lunch will be covered for the day. Tee-off is scheduled for early afternoon. We are looking forward to a great day on the course and the opportunity to connect, relax, and enjoy some time together.

The number of Soldier On participants is limited to 16.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from within 1.5 hours from the event location who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.

Selected Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate. 

DRAFT SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

14 July 2026 - First T time will be at 1200 and every 10min after.

TRANSPORTATION & MEALS:
Participants are advised that transportation will not be provided by Soldier On for this event. Participants will be required to arrange their own travel to and from the event location. The following meals will be provided during the event: Canteen lunch during your round of golf.

Mental & Physical Requirements:
Applicants must be able to tolerate 5–6 hours of moderate-paced activity for the day, to play 18 holes of golf. Golf carts will be available; however, due to the structured daily schedule, applicants should have minimal need for extended rest periods throughout the day. 

Applicants must be able to safely swing a golf club and participate -course play, and must not be in violation of their MELs.

Applicants will be joined with other ill/injured members and civilians, and therefore should be able to function in a social environment.  Applicants also acknowledge that there will be no alcohol allowed during the event.
